"In my family it was always instilled in us to give back to our community. The Citizens of McKinley County have been good to my whole family in our business. The main thing is I want to give back to the people"--David Dallago, County Commissioner

County Commissioner, District III

A graduate of Gallup High School, Dallago graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1978 with a degree in engineering.  He flew B52s out of Ellsworth Air Force Base in the Black Hills of South Dakota and earned a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota while in the Air Force.  He held the rank of captain when he resigned his commission.

A second-generation Gallupian, Dallago bought into the family business in 1985.  Founded in 1968, Dallago Corporation specializes in plumbing, heating, air conditioning, engineering and construction contracts.   A resident of Gallup, he lives with his wife Anna.  Between them, they have four children, two boys and two girls.

Dallago, Jr., served as chairman of the board for Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital as the community enacted the first Liquor Excise Tax, closed the liquor sales drive-up windows, and built the Na'nizhoozhi Center to tackle the problem of alcoholism.

Dallago's number one priority while in office is to re-do the clogged Munoz overpass.  Dallago's second priority is to help maintain good cooperation between McKinley County and the City of Gallup.  An active outdoors person, Dallago supports the Adventure Gallup and Beyond adventure sports tourism initiative.  Also, he would like to help the University of New Mexico-Gallup branch grow.  "The university branch is our jewel," he says.
